I’ve introduced some new foods to people in my office. Monday I cut up an apple and put peanut butter on it - I got at least 4 strange looks - no one had seen that before!! Then Tuesday I was busy so I made a peanut butter jelly sandwich and the two girls in the kitchen were excited: “Ohhhh peanut butter and jelly - what do you call those? P&Js?” “No, PB&Js - we were all pretty much raised on these as children in the States.”
Then yesterday I was introduced to a “classic” English candy - a gummy pig named Percy. Gummy candy isn’t particularly new, but it was interesting that this little guy has obviously been around and has a back story.
