Blister on the Bottom of My Foot.

Saturday was a long full day. We hit Hobgoblin at noon to watch the Spurs match. Beth bought Jen and I Spurs mugs - awww, so sweet! Jen and I left close to the half, hit a money machine then started towards the Angel Tube station - Beth texted me and Arsenal had scored TWICE since we left the pub. Unreal.

So I accompanied Jen on her search around Finsbury Park to find the first flat... and we were lost. For an hour and 15 minutes. I wasn’t mentally or physically prepared for it - tall heeled boots? But there could be no exchange of words b.c we were both unfamiliar with the area and our map did not go up that far. Not to mention this is by the Arsenal stadium so those Gooners [our name for Arsenal Gunners] were everywhere singing songs putting us Spurs down. Jerks.

So after meeting with her first appointment, we had to take the Tube 30 minutes South to Clapham. The Tube is a convenient way to get around, but those of you who have been on it know it’s rather dirty and can get packed often [but what train doesn’t?]. So I’m concious that I’m coughing [into my tissue] too much, it’s hot and my feet hurt. I’m just not mentally there. Being on the Tube makes me feel like I’m getting MORE sick, you know? Ya’ll know my feelings about public surfaces and their breeding grounds for germs - *shudder!*

After the second meeting, we went allll the way back up to Angel and stopped by La Porchetta [The Pig in Italian] for some pizza and I had a big, fat Peroni with my half pizza. We were both pretty exhausted mentally and physically, but I was looking forward to meeting up with Beth & Lou - as I always do : ) We met at the Crown - they advertised a Halloween party there, but no one here really celebrates Halloween as hard as Yanks do. I think I saw 2 adults dressed up all night.

We stopped next at the Sports Cafe in Exmouth Market - small Latin bar where we played some fun games of foosball! I am a terrible goalie. We also saw they served Pisco - a drink Jen found in Peru - but they didn’t have any egg whites [I know, strange], so they weren’t proper Pisco Sours. They basically tasted like a more mild margarita - Beth and I likey! I’ll be interested to see what the real one with egg whites tastes like.

Swung into Hobgoblin, but was pretty weak last night - the DJ was playing crap music for himself and looked like a tool. Jen and I called it a night and were sleepin’ at 2am.
